I joined Swim Club 9 years ago after 40 years out of the water. Now, the Club's members and daily workouts are a big part of my daily and social life. Over the past several years, I have also been fortunate to compete in both State and National competitions.

After 3 national collegiate titles in 1973, I decided it was time to get back in the water and joined the GVR Swim Club in 2015. Previous coached high school swimming in the state of Washington and recently appointed Coach/member at large for GVRSC board.

This is my second year as secretary of GVR Swim Club. I maintain the roster and keep communication flowing. I am also part of the social committee. I grew up swimming but just for fun, I was part of a synchronized swimming in college. I still have a very graceful (but slow) swim stroke. Swimming with better form and efficiency is my goal now. I have enjoyed improving my swim strokes and appreciate the club members who have helped me improve. I truly enjoy being a part of the GVRSC!

I joined GVR swim club in 2015 having little to no swimming experience. In 2018, I placed in the top 10 at Nationals in breast stroke events. Swimming has become a major part of my fitness lifestyle and look forward to making a contribution to the board.

I began competitive swimming in 2007. My swimming highlight was winning a bronze medal in the 800M freestyle at the 2016 Canadian Nationals. I also enjoy cycling (century rides), oil painting and golf. Most importantly, I love spending time with my wife, Darien, at our summer home, a log cabin, on Skootamatta Lake in Ontario, Canada..
